Re-Entry~

tent 2

Thursday, already? Time sure flies when you are playing catch-up from a road trip. But, it’s high time we got back to work.

So, tomorrow, Friday, June 1st there will be a ‘It’s good to be home and let’s kick off the Summer Sneak Update’!

Update begins tomorrow, Friday, June 1st in the etsy shop at 10:00 a.m. Eastern and will go throughout the day. The bulk of the update will be ready-to-ship items with a nice number of pre-order items added for good measure.

Seth (Mr. Wunder-Tech) is here today and we are plotting and planning some new and exciting things. Announcements coming very soon.

It’s good to be home. So much laundry and picture downloading yet to do (grizzlies, buffalo, elk, oh my!). In the meantime I thought I would share a few iPhone pics of the one of the highlights of the trip – loved glamping!

Howdy! A note about the Charleston Tea update~

grady
Howdy and happy Saturday to everyone!

Seth and I finished going over some of the details for Sunday’s update (tomorrow already!) and would like to fill you in on how it is going to go (or how I really really hope it is going to go)…

For the last six months or so we have all been repeatedly and painfully reminded of the sluggishness of the front page of the current shop at the start of an update. Seth and I have been talking about way to remedy this for months, so we’re going to run with one of those solutions this time and see how it goes.

The Charleston Tea sweater kits will still be available on thepluckyknitter.com, but instead of going through the entire cart process on the site, you’ll simply choose your size and colorway and then jump right to PayPal to secure your kit.

What does this mean for you lovely Plucky knitters? No cart crashing, no inventory issues, and a much smoother shopping experience all around.

Smooth and simple is the goal. So, what do you need to do?

1) Visit project.mindutopia.com/plucky/shop (or direct to the sale page to be announced tomorrow. Thank you Seth.)
2) Choose your kit size and colorway
3) Click the Buy button
4) Confirm with PayPal
5) Sleep peacefully reveling in your overwhelmingly positive yarn-shopping experience on thepluckyknitter.com. That is my fervent hope anyway.

Less moving parts means less things to break, right?!

Oh, one more thing. Pricing for the Charleston Tea kits (includes pattern and flat rate shipping both intl & domestic):

5 skein kit – $144
6 skein kit – $171
7 skein kit – $198

Thank you so much and best wishes for a lovely weekend.

Charleston Tea ~ a sweater kit

Charleson Tea anyone? Thea and I have been at it again and are delighted to let you know that it is high time for another Baby Cocktails/Plucky Knitter sweater kit.

Charleston Tea is a hoodie to throw on when the air cools down after a long hot day.  The hood is fun and gives it a sporty edge, but the sweater remains feminine with delicate details and a beautiful lace panel in back.  The lace allows a little air to flow in or a bright tee to peek out.  Knit top down so you can adjust this as you like, but it is designed with ¾ sleeves, a comfy, hip length fit and topped off with a generous and oh so cozy hood.

Notes/Commentary from Thea:

Since this is knit from the top down, you can adjust length or width to flatter your shape. It is designed to skim your curves, and be worn with a bit of sweatshirt-like ease for a casual summer fit.  Adding or width creating a slimmer fit in any part of the sweater is simple, since the lace design is not altered by your overall stitch count.   Adjusting for length is also easy, and you can let it hit wherever you think it will be most flattering on you.

and….. we’re outta here.

We will be out of the studio starting, well, now and returning in two weeks. We are off on a picking (we’re bringing our dad), junking (again, our dad), fossiling (Bob), karaoking (Ryan, we’re talking to you), hiking, glamping and knitting (three guesses who that is and the first two don’t count!) road trip.

See you soon! But, until then a little teaser…..
