Beat The Heat Dining – A Contest

Beat-The-Heat Dinning

It has been so fun to read all the Morzo Orzo stories of reunions, house guests, alfresco dinning and too-hot-to-cook dinners on the fly. The only thing left to do is have a PHOTO CONTEST!

How do you and your family take your Morzo Orzo? Chopped? Finely diced? Doctored up? Super spicey? More cheese? No Cheese? Quinoa instead of orzo? Let’s see some photos!

If you haven’t had a chance to taste Morzo Orzo yet – no worries at all! This a ”Beat The Heat With Foods of Summer” photo contest. It can even be a photo of something you want to try, a photo from a magazine, anything that lends itself to our Beat-The-Heat theme.

Please hop on over to the new Beat-The-Heat contest thread and post your photos. You have until 9:00 AM on Thursday, July 30th. And, of course there will be prizes!

Double The Fun!

Double The Fun!

Shatsu Collage
Shatsu in Steelhorse Cashmere

Double your knitting pleasure, double your knitting fun….you guys have spoken!  We just couldn’t decide which to debut first – Shatsu, the perfect tee from Michele Wang or the scrumptious Multiplicty wrap by Amy Miller. Whether you are an accessory knitter, a garment knitter or equal opportunity knitter, we have your bases covered. We are so happy to offer two kits in one update!

Multiplicity Collage

Multiplicity by Amy Miller, is a wrap that just begs to be knit more than once! Hayley’s already planning her second! My mind is spinning with two color combos and multi-colored eye popping possibilities. This pattern is a textured triangle and is written in a variety of size, base and color work options. And, I am happy to report that Multiplicity is that magic project…  fun to knit, great conversational knitting and a gorgeous FO when done!

The Shatsu Tee, by Michele Wang, is destined to become a wardrobe must have! Knit in a heavy fingering or sport weight, this tee promises to work on every body shape under the sun! And, Shatsu knows no season. You can wear it as a lighter weight shell in the warmer months over a tank and yoga pants (which I have done and love it) or layer it over a button down (flannel or plaid for me please!) or long sleeved tee (stripe tee would be super cute!) when the temperatures drop.

Please join us at 8:00 pm Eastern on Sunday, July 19th and again on Monday, July 20th at 9:00 am Eastern right here on the Plucky Blog for a double the fun update.

Shatsu and Multiplicity will have a drop down menu for the base and the colors of your choice. And, you can be sure that Hayley and I will have some pretty kicky mystery kits up our sleeves for those who want a Multiplicity surprise. I hope you will take a few minutes to pop into the Wishlist thread and let us know what colors are calling your name!

Keep an eye on the Update News & Announcements thread for the final list of color kits and options that will be offered  and if there is something you would love to see, please be sure to post in the Wishlist thread and we will do our very best to make it happen! Oh, and I almost forgot…we will have 2 skein Multiplicity kits and just a few Shatsu kits in the 3 and 4 skein sizes as ready-to-ship!!!

Happy Knitting,
Sarah & the Plucky Crew
