Moody Blues and an IG Live!
BLUE, oh how I love you! It’s no secret that I love all things grey and those orange-y reds, grassy greens and pink (of course!) always seems to creep into my personal knitting, but blues, they just make me happy. Aqua blues, blue ribbon blue, steely blue grays/gray blues, in fact the moodier the better! And, of course, we cannot forget the grand daddy of the them all, navy blue – that just might be my favorite blue of all – no, wait! Then there’s faded blue jean blue! See what I mean, there are just so many great blues! They can be mellow or exciting, whimsical or in your face zingy. But, one thing is for certain, they are never, ever boring. Blue is the color of the sky and the ocean. It can stand alone or work in harmony with practically any other color you can possibly imagine. Blue simply makes me smile!
We are happy to announce that we will be focusing on some of our favorite blues in this update, which will also include a brand-new mystery blue, woo-hoo! In addition, please be sure to join us for a live stream on Instagram starting at Noon on Friday, February 22nd where we will be taking your questions in real time, sharing some of our favorite blues, and chatting about adding a dose of Spring into our current projects.
Shawl shown above is pattern Hayley’s Comet and it’s knit in Bello
in colors Early Light, Narragansett Gray, Skies Of November, and Overcoat.
Going through all the blues got us thinking about past pattern offerings that featured blue and Hayley’s Comet jumped off the screen at me. I LOVE the blue version we have, but it got me thinking about another variation of this lovely shawl and low and behold it made it’s way onto my needles! My new version is Halo held double with a little bit of broody and healthy dose of Spring. Tune in to the IG Live this Friday for the reveal!
