Sensory Overload ~

S and I went to Stitches. Wow – talk about sensory overload….  and all we did was go to the market – can’t imagine if  we actually went to some classes. I’ll have to work up to that next year.

Met Kathy! What a doll – the three of us had a ball chatting about all things yarny related and lots of other random bits – the time just flew by (the hallmarks of a good time being had by all). If you haven’t visited Kathy’s blog yet….. please drop by and say hi. You will be glad you did.

habu-haul-2.jpg  Bought some yarn – but just a bit.  Habu Textiles the Kushu Kushu scarf kit really caught my eye (have you seen this  and this?). Actually, it was the first, middle and last booth we visited at the Market. It was becoming a running joke every time we popped back up.   Purchased two cones of the 100% silk in a teal and a cranberry color, then 100% lambswool in a gorgeous ivy green and then the scarf kit is deep aubergine and charcoal grey. The large skein of charcoal in front is a lovely yarn from Brooks Farm  Yarn. I have an idea of what it will all become (all the Habu (minus the scarf kit) plus the Brooks Farms charcoal will become something for Fall), but you will have to wait and see.

OOO, lovely yarn!!!! I can’t wait to see what you whip up. I’m glad you had a good time. I can’t wait till you are out here and we can go yarn crawling together. 😉 Missed you this weekend.

Wow, that Kusha Kusha is getting popular! Let us know how it turns out. I was so unhappy with mine that I didn’t even blog about it 🙁 I found the yarns hard to work with and felting made the scarf ridiculously small. I used the scarf once, as a head band!
